Pastime Workshops custom blend of oils, including essential oils, and beeswax as a wood sealer is perfect for every cutting board. Every cutting board needs to be oiled but not every cutting board oil includes food grade beeswax to act as a sealer. From the time your board is produced the wood fibers have small open pores that can trap bacteria. Then after use there are cuts in the board that will catch even more bacteria. To help combat the problem of trapped bacteria we added beeswax to our oil so that the open pores & cuts will be filled with small amounts of beeswax.

Instructions for best results:
1. Warm contents in bottle to warm (doesn't burn your wrist)
2. Shack well to remix contents
3. Apply a liberal amount of Pastime Workshops Cutting Board Oil to the top and sides of the cutting board. There should be excess on the board.
4. Let sit for 30 minutes check for dry spots. If there some then apply more oil to those spots and let sit for another 30 minutes. Repeat as necessary until there are no more dry spots.
5. Wipe off the excess so a film is left on the board. CAUTION - Be sure to wipe diagonal or across the grain so that you do not wipe the sealer out of the pores & cuts.
6. Let the board sit until all is dry, over-night is recommended.
7. Buff the board with a soft towel.
8. Your cutting board is ready for use.
9. Repeat monthly to ensure you cutting board is well taken care of.
